Mark Weems hails from North Carolina and plays guitar, banjo, fiddle, and piano, but is best known as a singer and composer.
He has been studying the nuances of all types of country music, from mountain ballads and traditional string-band music to honky-tonk songs for over twenty years as a veteran of The Stillhouse Bottom Band, Little Windows, and his honky-tonk band - the Cave Dwellers.
Sing Out! Magazine recently called him "an exceptionally talented interpreter of old-time vocal and instrumental tunes" and "a gifted composer of timeless music." Learn more about Mark by visiting his websites above.

Carl Jones comes from Alabama but until recently lived fifteen minutes down the road from us. Carl is probably my favorite song-writer. He writes songs that I wish I'd written.
In the early 80's he toured with Norman Blake as part of The Rising Fawn String Ensemble. He's one heck of a mandolin player and is in great demand as a teacher at music camps around the country. His songs have been recorded by the Nashville Bluegrass Band, Rickie Simpkins, and Kate Campbell. Visit Carl's website at www.dittyville.com |
